Obituary

Janice Kay Woolums, age 72, of Lebanon, passed away Friday, November 19, 2021 at the Atrium Medical Center in Middletown, Ohio. She was born May 6, 1949 in Reesville, Ohio the daughter of the late Charles and Ruth (Bean) Lambcke. Jan made her home with her soulmate and husband Rick for 25 years. One of her favorite things to do was host events for her family and friends. Her annual Christmas parties filled her home with love and laughter. She especially loved making happy memories for her grandchildren. She was in her element when her home was bustling with her large family. During quiet times, she enjoyed using her creativity and keen eye for design to do décor and rehab projects with Rick. Jan retired from ATSG, formerly ABX Air after 30 years where she touched many lives. She started as a casual employee in 1985 and worked her way up through the ranks to Sr Director level. Throughout the years, she would mentor anyone who wanted to further their career there. Her dedication, authenticity and work ethic earned her the respect of her colleagues as well creating an example that many would follow. Her departure leaves a void that cannot be filled in our lives but we will carry her in our hearts forever. Jan is survived by her husband, James Richard “Rick” Woolums; children, Rob (Jennifer) Cleaver of Lebanon, Chris Cleaver of Eastgate, Jason (Bethany) Woolums of Flowery Branch, Georgia, Danielle (Teddy) Arrington of Xenia, and Blaire (Pete) Brown of Wilmington; grandchildren, Zac Cleaver, Anna Cleaver, Andrew Cleaver, Gabe Woolums, Sophie Woolums, Abby Woolums, Morgan Ritchey, Kenzie Arrington, Kyle Arrington, Grace Brown, Rylee Oglesby, Austin Oglesby, and Carson Brown; siblings, Mary (Jim) Young of Wilmington, Walter (Patricia) Lambcke of Naples, Florida, Phyllis (Carl) Staron of Lake Placid, Florida, Harriett (Mike) Fleming of Denver, Colorado, Patricia Lambcke of Phoenix, Arizona, Tom (Janie) Lambcke of Peebles, Ohio, Debbie (Tom) Furguson of Rochester, Minnesota, and Richard Lambcke of Chattanooga, Tennessee; sisters-in-law, Kathy Lambcke of Wilmington, Vicki Lambcke of Wilmington, and Mary Ellen Lambcke of Wilmington; several extended family members; and many friends.
