Jason Dale White

Jason Dale White, age 53, of Gahanna, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at his home in Gahanna. He was born August 8, 1971, in Panama City, Florida, the son of Dale M. and Deborah E. (Hargis) White of Wilmington. He had proudly served his Country in the United States Navy.

Jason was a loving, caring, compassionate man of God! He loved his wife, Lily, with all of his heart and would have given her the moon if it was within his power. He was an incredibly loyal friend to anyone who got to know him and you could always count on him to have your back. Most importantly, was how he spoke of his growing faith and love for his Savior. He was convinced of the return of Jesus in the very near future and couldn't wait for that day! Jason loved life!

In his earlier years he was on a swim team, tennis team, played baseball and football, and dabbled in gymnastics. He was in choir in high school and church, involved in drama club, and he was an awesome skier and snowboarder. He also loved guns and shooting (though he never killed animals), loved white water rafting, and had such a love and compassion for animals, especially horses, as he was trained in Parelli Horsemanship at the Parelli Ranch in Pagosa Springs, Colorado and trained as a farrier in Florida. Jason loved reptiles and spiders (no one was ever able to kill a snake or a spider in his presence), and he was well traveled all over the world! He just approached life with such excitement and great abandon that it was contagious! Jason also had an amazing sense of humor. He could tell stories that would leave you in stitches. He was so funny, that several corporate leaders would ask him to entertain at their corporate parties! Later in life his health started to take its toll. But, we are comforted by the fact that he is now able to enjoy life to the fullest again with no more pain. Now he can worship his Savior in the presence of his Savior! And we're sure that Jesus is in stitches over the stories he's telling him!

Jason is survived by his loving wife Lily (Tesfaye) White of Gahanna; his parents Dale M. and Deborah E. (Hargis) White of Wilmington; siblings, Jeremy White and Ashley White; nephews, Owen and Finley White; niece, Clara White; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday, March 23, 2025, at Fellowship of Praise Church in Clarksville, Ohio. Pastor Matt Morgan will officiate. Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. until time of service at 3:00 p.m. at the church. Burial will take place immediately following services in Springfield Friends Cemetery where Military Honors will be accorded by the Wilmington Post #49 Honor Guard.
