Jeffery Tackett

Jeffery Tackett, age 71, of Clarksville, passed away Sunday, August 31, 2025 at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton. He was born February 11, 1954 in Camp Creek, Ohio, the son of the late Edford Lee and Faye (Lykins) Tackett and had graduated from Lebanon High School in 1973. Jeffery was a carpenter by trade and belonged to the Carpenters Local Union 126 based out of Cincinnati. He was a "Jack of all Trades" and had worked on a crew alongside his father and brother that built the original "Beast" roller coaster at Kings Island and did all the concrete work at Newport on the Levee. A true outdoorsman, Jeffery loved hunting, fishing and also enjoyed riding his Razor ATV in the hills of Kentucky with his buddies. He lived by the motto "Don't be afraid to try something once!" Above all, he loved his family very much and he especially adored his grandchildren. Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Kari (Jimmy Florea) Hill, Katelyn (Kyle) Ogle, and Stephanie (Dustin) Roberts; his grandchildren, Breana Hill, Payton Hill, Kallen Florea, Christian Florea, Wrenly Ogle and Arlie Ogle; siblings, Doug Tackett, Joann (Guy) Eberle, and Kathy (Mike) West; nephew, Robby (Ashley) West; cousin, Berry Hubbard; many other nieces, nephews and cousins; and his best friend, his dog "Bella". Along with his parents, Jeffery was preceded in death by a nephew, Ryan West. Per Jeffery's wishes there will be no public services.
