Jerry Lee Brannon, age 79, of New Vienna, passed away Tuesday, July 12, 2022, at the Autumn Years Nursing Center in Sabina. He was born October 17, 1942, in Wilmington, Ohio the son of the late Albert and Ester (Constance) Brannon. He was a graduate of Wilmington City Schools. Jerry was a simple man, who played hard at life and was very accomplished in his career and his interests. He was a graduate certified in underwater-welding and also a certified diesel mechanic. Later in his life he was a corrections officer for the Lebanon Correctional Institution, a certified CDL examiner for the State of Ohio, a police officer for the New Vienna Police Department as well as a State Highway Patrolman in Columbus, Ohio. Jerry is survived by his sisters, Ester Ann Spence Brannon and Shirley Brannon; daughter Vicky Walker (Tasha & Tiffany); son Rick Brannon (Traci, Ricky, Shelby & Seth); daughter Barb Brannon (Tisha); daughter Teresa Drake (Mikey & Chad); numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Susie Brannon; father Albert Brannon; mother Ester (Constance) Brannon; sister Janette Rhoades Brannon; brother James Brannon; and grandson Christopher Fugate. Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday, July 17, 2022, at Brown Funeral Home, Wilmington.
