Joel Patrick "Pat" Dodds

Joel Patrick "Pat" Dodds, age 68, of Wilmington, passed away Wednesday June 4, 2025, in Wilmington. He was born September 21, 1956, the son of the late Robert Lee and Jeane Dodds. Pat was a jokester that loved his family very much. He enjoyed playing golf and was a member of Sligo Baptist Church. Surviving are his loving wife, Jill Creditt Dodds; daughter, Amy (Andy) Mew; son, Chris (Chrissy) Dodds; grandson, Ethan (Julia) Dodds; granddaughter, Megan (fiancé Jeremy Meadows) Dodds; great-grandsons Liam and Lyle Lucas; brothers-in-law, Jack (Pat) Creditt and Jodie (Lisa) Creditt; and a host of cousins and friends. In addition to his parents, Pat is preceded in death by a son, Jason Dodds; his in-laws, Jimmie and Geraldine Creditt; and a brother-in-law, Jonnie Creditt. Funeral services will be held 7:00 p.m. Friday, June 13, 2025, at Brown Funeral Home, Wilmington. Pat's brother-in-law, Jack Creditt, will officiate. Friends may visit from 5:00 p.m. until services begin at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Brown Funeral Home, Wilmington, if so desired.
