John Ray Minton, age 72, of Sabina, passed away Wednesday, May 3, 2023, at the Clinton Memorial Hospital in Wilmington. He was born February 22, 1951, in Xenia, Ohio the son of the late Preston and Lenora (Eury) Minton. John was a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Vietnam War. He was a hard-working welder by trade, a job he truly enjoyed. During his leisure time, he loved sitting out by a pond with his wife Crystal, fishing. He is survived by his wife of nearly 43 years, Crystal M. (Davis) Minton; son Joshua (Chelsey) Minton of Sabina; daughter Trisha (Paul) Gray of Xenia; grandchildren, Bryan, Brandon, Brittney, Gabriel, Preston, and Nevaeh; great grandchildren, Sawyer and Serenity; and several siblings, nieces, and nephews. At John’s request there will be no public services. Brown Funeral Home, Wilmington, is assisting the family.
