Joy Lynn (Flint) Faul, age 78, of Wilmington, passed away Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at Soin Medical Center in Beavercreek. She was born December 23, 1944 in Wilmington, daughter of the late Raymond and Martha (Armstrong) Flint. Joy loved the simpler things in life, whether cruising the countryside, playing 500 Rummy or spending time with her grandchildren, she spent her life going without so others didn't have to. She enjoyed time eating apple pie with Kaedyn, drinking Pepsi with Kenyin, and watching Joshua dust her furniture. Her family was her pride and joy and she loved her sidekick "Gizmo" the cat very much. Joy is survived by her loving children, Tammy Rayson of Wilmington and Richard (Pamela Harner) Faul, also of Wilmington; grandchildren, Joshua Snell of Xenia, Shanon Rayson of Wilmington, and Jerrika Rayson of Wilmington; great grandchildren, Di'Aviān, Joshua, Aunestie, Harper, Kenyin, Kaedyn, Kierra, Kyliee, Hunter, Sky, Kaitlyn, Coleman, Maddox, Colby, Spencer and Henry; great-great grandson, Connor "CJ"; sister, Patty Boudreau of Michigan; former husband, Charles (Maureen) Faul; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Michael Allen Faul; great grandson, Darrell Allen "DJ" Cole ; brother, James Flint; and sister, Connie Sue Watson, who has been waiting to reunite with Joy since her passing in November. Funeral services will be held 5:00 p.m., Monday, May 22, 2023, at the Wilmington Church of God, 100 R. Gordon Drive with burial immediately following in the New Antioch Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church from 3:00 p.m. until time of service at 5:00 p.m. Pastor Ginger Pendell will officiate.
