Karen Helene (Drozen) Maedl

Karen Helene Maedl, age 71, of Martinsville, passed away Thursday, April 15, 2021 at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati.  She was born May 1, 1949 in Buffalo, New York, the daughter of the late Harry and Loraine (Webber) Drozen.  In her last conversation with her daughter Deanne, Karen told her, “when you’re gone, there’s a piece of me missing, when you are here, I’m whole”.  She loved talking with her daughter on the phone.  She loved spending time with her daughter and grandchildren, her grandchildren were her life.  She enjoyed knitting and crocheting.  Karen is survived by her children and grandchildren.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded by her husband Alan Maedl on September 1, 2020.  All services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.  Brown Funeral Home, Wilmington is assisting the family.  To leave an on-line condolence, please visit www.arehart-brown.com, or see our Facebook page, Brown Funeral Home.
