Karen Sue “Susie” Shaver, age 71, of Wilmington, passed away Sunday, April 4, 2021 at University of Cincinnati, West Chester Hospital. She was born March 8, 1950 in Dayton, Ohio. Karen was a member of the Wilmington Assembly of God, the Order of Eastern Star in Wilmington and the Wilmington American Legion. She loved to vacation with family in the Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge area. Karen was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her husband Harry Shaver, to whom she married October 4, 1977 in Hamilton, Ohio; children, Anthony (Gwen) Shaver of Goshen, Angel (Tony) Campbell of Sabina, Tammy (Roger) Jordan of Lawrenceburg, Angela Wilson of Lynchburg, Joseph Shaver of Cincinnati and Craig Shaver of Wilmington; grandchildren, Austin (Megan) Shaver, Danny Gilbert, Todd Gilbert, Nathan (Krystal) Gilbert, Jacob (Destiney) Woods, Kayley Campbell, Mackenzie (Levi) Campbell, Britney (Rick) Lenart, Zachary Baker, Ashlynn Wilson, Drew (Haley) Shaver, Deaven Shaver, Harli Warfield and Addison Reynolds; great grandchildren, Haley Shaver, Kamden Garrison, Logan Woods, Lane Woods, Kade Woods, Brianna Lenart, Urijah Lenart, Jazlyn Lenart and Brantley Shaver; sisters-in-law Emalie Johnson and Marjorie (John) Reddington; two aunts, Dorothy Taylor and Peggy Kendall; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. She is preceded in death by her mother, Letha Schroeder; grandparents, Robert and Doris Kendall; and son-in-law Shawn Wilson. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 9, 2021 at Brown Funeral Home, Wilmington. Burial will follow in the New Antioch Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service at 2:00 p.m. Facial coverings are encouraged.
