Karol Irene (Cole) Jones

Karol Irene Jones, age 89, of Wilmington, passed away peacefully June 20, 2026, in the comfort of her home. She was born July 10, 1936, the daughter of Richard and Veda (Smith) Cole. Karol is survived by her three children, Michael (Deana) Jones of Wilmington, Judi (Ralph Jr.) Fizer of Wilmington and Gary (Michelle) Jones of Bellbrook; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and her beloved dog, Sandy. In addition to her parents, Karol is preceded in death by her husband, James "Jim" Dalton Jones, to whom she married July 31, 1955 and lost March 8, 2023. A "Celebration of Life" service and visitation will be held at Brown Funeral Home, Wilmington. A date and time for services will be forthcoming.
