Katlin Beth "Katie' Bailey

Katlin Beth “Katie” Bailey, age 32, of Wilmington, passed away Saturday, August 28, 2021 at the Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton as the result of an aneurysm.  She was born March 21, 1989, in Wilmington the daughter of Jeffery Allen Bailey and Dawn Lorelei “Lorrie” Smith.    Katie collected anything that had a mushroom on it.  Her home was decorated and filled with many “Mushroom” items.  She enjoyed the outdoors, loved her animal friends, and liked tending to her plants.  Katie enjoyed Halloween and kept some decorations out year-round.  She was a very organized person, a very hard worker, and enjoyed thrifting with friends.  More than anything, Katie loved her family, and enjoyed an evening of “just hanging out” with them.  Katie is survived by her best friend, companion of 16 years, and father of her daughter, Andy Zurface; daughter Zoey Zurface, at home; mother Lorrie Smith of Wilmington; grandparents, John and Susie Ringer of Wilmington; Andy’s parents, Dennis (April) Zurface of Sabina and Carol Zurface of Wilmington; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; numerous special friends; and her pets.  Katie is preceded in death by her father Jeff Bailey; brother Keith Bailey; grandparents, Clyde and Kathleen Smith; and cousin Josh Smith.  Funeral services will be held 7:00 p.m. Friday, September 3, 2021, at Brown Funeral Home, Wilmington.  Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until the time of service at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  Interment will take place privately at the convenience of the family.  For more information, or to leave an on-line condolence, please visit our website, www.arehart-brown.com, or see our Facebook page, Brown Funeral Home.
