Keith Darnell Arrington

Keith Darnell Arrington, age 52, of Wilmington, passed away Sunday, January 31, 2021 in the Clinton Memorial Hospital Emergency Room after fighting some health issues.  He was born November 29, 1968 in Wilmington, the son of John Hudson and Karen Arrington.  Keith was an avid Cincinnati Bengal and Ohio State University Football fan, and a lifelong Wilmington Hurricane fan.  He was always helping people, particularly the elderly around him, and seemingly always had a big smile on his face.  In addition to enjoying softball, Keith loved working in his garden and mushroom hunting.  He was a 1987 Wilmington High School Graduate and was a member of the Varsity Football Team, and had worked for the Wilmington City Parks, Wilmington College and the Randall Company in Wilmington. Keith loved family gatherings, dancing, and being around his family and friends.  More than anything, he loved his kids.  Keith is survived by three children, Macie (Adam) Harlan of Hillsboro, Desmond Arrington of West Virginia, and Kourtney Davis of Springfield; six grandchildren, mother and step-father Karen and Kenneth Dean of Wilmington; father John Hudson of Toledo; three brothers, Jon “Pedro” Arrington of Wilmington, Shawn (Shannon) Arrington of Wilmington, and Brian (Donna) Arrington of Wilmington, his significant other Elizabeth Hatch of Wilmington; great friend Tom Smith; special cousin Darrell Arrington; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.  Keith is preceded in death by his son, Darnell Arrington; sister, Tara Arrington; maternal grandparents, Sylvestor and Rayma Arrington; and paternal grandmother Ruby Stewart.  Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 6, 2021 at Brown Funeral Home, Wilmington.  The family asks that everyone dress casually, and preferably everyone wear Bengals clothing, or their favorite sports team. Pastor Kurtis Summerville of the Bible Missionary Baptist Church in Wilmington will officiate.  Burial will follow in the Sugar Grove Cemetery in Wilmington.  Visitation will be held Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  Facial coverings and social distancing will be asked of all attendees.  Following services, there will be a gathering for family and friends at the Wilmington V.F.W.
