Kenneth Eugene “Kenny” Brown, age 76, of Jamestown, passed away Friday, August 13, 2021, at Miami Valley South Hospital in Centerville. He was born October 3, 1944, in Jamestown, the son of the late Herman and Leah Belle (Houseman) Brown. Kenny, also known as “Bubba” by many, had formerly owned and operated B and B Auto Sales in Jamestown. He also ran a body repair shop. In the early 1970’s he owned and operated the Hemlock Café. In later years, he relocated to Vinton County to a 43-acre wooded farm where he enjoyed nature and wildlife. While there, he was also associated with Vinton County Schools. Kenny is survived by three sons, Kevin and his wife Kelly Brown of Sabina; Steve Perry of Jamestown, and Christopher S. Brown of Jamestown; grandchildren, Kyle Brown, Karley Brown, Kolin Brown, Carman Brown, Claire Brown, Austin Perry, Madyson Brittingham, Brittany Hartson-Brown and Brooklyn Hartson-Brown; sister Carolyn Brown of Jamestown; brother Ronnie and his wife Jeanne Brown of Xenia; nieces Rhonda (Eddie) Hall of Jamestown, Robin (Bob) Jaynes of Paintersville, Rae (Mike) Pease of Jamestown, Tammy (Tom) Bolka of Xenia; nephew Rod (Rose) Brown of Xenia; longtime girlfriend Mary “Elaine” Reed, now of South Carolina; several great nieces and nephews; and many friends from both Jamestown and Vinton County. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Elton Hughes; nephew Ronnie Hughes; and daughter-in-law Jennifer Hartson-Brown. Visitation will be held Thursday, August 19, 2021, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, Wilmington. Services and interment will take place privately, at the convenience of the family, in Milledgeville-Plymouth Cemetery, where he will be buried next to his parents.
