Kenneth “Kenny” Russell, age 72, of Wilmington, passed away Monday, August 30, 2021 at the Continental Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Blanchester. He was born October 11, 1948 in Westboro, Ohio the son of the late James and Virginia (Long) Russell. Kenny loved fishing, made custom knives, and was a “jack-of-all-trades”. He liked motorcycles, talking about his hometown of Westboro, and laughing at his own jokes. Kenny had a big heart and he loved hard. He loved his cat named “Church”. It was noted about Kenny, “Anyone who knew the man, loved the man”. Most of all, Kenny loved his family, especially his grandchildren. Kenny is survived by two daughters, Brandie (Chris) Houser of Wilmington, and Erin Garrett of Wilmington; grandchildren, Zachary, Maryssa, Aaron, Brandon, Hunter, Craig, and Kenny; great grandchildren, Avaya, Bryon, Zaiden, Weslee, SJ, and Addilyn; very special friends, Art Honeycut and Dave Kibby; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his parents, Kenny is preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn; three brothers; and one sister. Funeral services will be held 7:00 p.m. Thursday, September 2, 2021, at Brown Funeral Home, Wilmington.
