Larry "JoJo" Joseph

Larry "JoJo" Joseph, II, age 57, of Wilmington, passed away Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at home surrounded by his loving family and friends after a short but very courageous battle with cancer.

He was born September 9, 1967, in Wilmington, the son of Jackie (Spicer) Joseph and the late Larry Joseph.

Larry was a 1986 graduate of Wilmington High School and was a master electrician, most recently with International Paper in Middletown. Anyone who knew him, knew he was as ornery as could be, had a huge zest for life, not a serious bone in his body, loved giving silly gifts, and wanted every day to be a party. His biggest joys in life were his family, making people laugh, and his kindness... while he had a rough exterior, he would give you the shirt off his back!

In addition to his mom, Larry is survived by his "Pest" Laurie (nee Keith) Joseph; sister, Lori (Marvin) Harvey; his children, Kelly (Josh) Huston, Keith (Tyler, Ethan) Joseph and Kortney (Eric) Matthews; stepchildren, Keith (Kim) Walker, Patrick (Elizabeth) Walker and Katie (Cassie) Walker; Grandchildren,  Andrew (Cameron) Huston, Elizabeth (Dakota Merritt) Huston, Cayden, Landen and Renelynn Matthews; step-grandchildren, Wesley, Jada, Emily, Taylor, Austin and Easton Walker; step great-grandchild, Maxton; nieces, Rebecca (Chris Reedy) Leigh, Secret Harvey and great-nieces, Tara Boggs, Mia, Kora and Maylah Reedy; his bestie companion, Barkley; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Larry truly never met a stranger.

The family would like to extend thanks to Ohio's Hospice for their incredible care and support, especially in the final hours. The staff was beyond amazing.

Per Larry's wishes there will be no traditional services because "it is what it is" and a Celebration of Life, "JoJo style", will be held from 5:00 - 9:00 p.m. Friday, August 15, 2025, at the Wilmington Eagles, where he was a 35+ year member. Please wear your Harley or bike gear, be casual, and comfortable. There will be food, "silly trinkets" and a cash bar... just as he wanted it to be.
