Laura E. Sexton, of Wilmington, passed away November 17, 2020. Laura was born December 3, 1929 in Grenada, Mississippi the daughter of the late James and Mary (Smith) McCaskill. She enjoyed watching “Family Feud”, she always looked forward to pizza and a beer, she was a follower of NASCAR, and a huge Cincinnati Reds fan. But more than anything, she enjoyed spending time with family. She is survived by two daughters, Peggy Grove and Treasa Earhart of Wilmington; grandchildren, Sarah (Josh) Coleman of New Vienna, Ray Frick of Wilmington, Amber (Dwayne) Boysel of Mt. Sterling, Ashley Hensley of Kettering, Michele Snyder of Hampton, Florida, Billi Joann (Mike) Kirkpatrick of Lawtey, Florida, John Speaks of Logan, Bill (Jennifer) Speaks of Jacksonville, Florida, Michele Reams of Middelburg, Florida, and Eddy (Brandy) McDuffard of Winchester, Kentucky; many great-grandchildren and great great grandchildren; and nieces Kathy (Dan) Green of Cincinnati, and Karyn (Jon) Thistlewood of Atlanta, Georgia. In addition to her parents, Laura is preceded in death by her step-father Tom Casteel; sister Patsy Blankenship; and three sons, Jim Speaks, Bill Speaks, and Edward Sexton. Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Laura’s Life 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 19, 2021 at Brown Funeral Home, Wilmington.
