Leanna Mae Stephenson, age 99, of Wilmington, passed away Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at Ohio Living Cape May. She was born December 9, 1922 in Sabina, Ohio the daughter of the late John and Anna (Roberds) Kelley. In her younger years, Leanna was an avid bowler and throughout her life she was the type to never sit still, whether work or play, she gave it her all. Her family agrees in unison that she was the best cook EVER! She never followed recipes but made the most heavenly egg noodles and her pie crusts could be eaten without any fillings. Leanna loved her family very much and especially enjoyed spending the holidays with them. She lived a beautiful life of ninety-nine years and will be missed by her family dearly. Leanna is survived by two daughters, Valerie (Jack) Rose and Renita Cook, both of Wilmington; grandchildren, Jeff (Linda) Inwood, Tracy (Rob) Schwartzenbach, Zachary (Nicole) Cook, Sarah (James) Pennington, Vanessa Rose, and John Rose; Ten great-grandchildren; many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends; and her special "bonus children" Janet Morris and Carol Haley. She is preceded in death by her parents John and Anna Kelley; daughter Darlene Inwood; son Leonard Stephenson; grandchildren Chrystal and Shawn Jones; as well as five brothers and four sisters in law. A visitation and Celebration service will be held at Brown Funeral Home on Saturday, August 27, 2022. Visitation begins at 12:00 noon until 1:30 p.m followed by a short service at 1:30 p.m. Burial will follow at White Oak Grove Cemetery, Greenfield-Sabina Road, Buena Vista, Ohio.
