Leslie "Wayne" Buckley

Leslie "Wayne" Buckley, age 63, of Wilmington, passed away April 3, 2026. He was born May 4, 1962, in Heidelberg, Germany. Wayne was a beloved husband, father and son. His interests included meteorology, astronomy and music while his spirituality was derived through all of God's creation, as he loved all God's creatures. A wonderful, caring man, Wayne, was extremely resilient. Whatever he tried, he gave his all. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Karen A. Buckley (Williams); his two sons, Alex Buckley of Columbus and Craig Buckley of Wilmington; and his mother, Hannelore Buckley (Marzlaff) of Wilmington. Wayne is preceded in death by his father, Leslie G. Buckley. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
