Lloydette (Wilson) Scarce

Lloydette Scarce, age 66, of Wilmington, passed away Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at the Laurels of Milford.  She was born September 17, 1955, in Wilmington, the daughter of Lloyd E. and Joy (Nichols) Wilson, Sr.  Family was the most important thing in her life.  She loved and adored her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.  Lloydette had worked for several years at the Nike Center.  Caring for children and helping young people with special needs was a passion of hers.  Among the many things Lloydette enjoyed was all types of music, especially R & B, and Motown.  Lloydette is survived by two daughters, Mindy (Nick King fiancé) Clark of Wilmington, and Shanda Clark of Dayton; Stephanie Kratzer who was like a daughter, of Wilmington; mother Joy Wilson of Wilmington; grandchildren, Kyler (Tiffany) Wise, and Alexis (Ethan Pipenger) Wise; great granddaughters, Charlie and Emery; sister Lynne (Junior) King of Wilmington; her best friend and love of her life Jeff Foland; one niece; two nephews; and several great nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by her father Lloyd E. Wilson, Sr.; and two brothers, Lloyd E. “JR” Wilson, Jr, and Jeff Wilson.  Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday, August 15, 2022, at Brown Funeral Home, Wilmington.  Burial will follow in the Sugar Grove Cemetery, Wilmington.  Visitation will be held Monday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions, if desired, can be made to the family care of Brown Funeral Home, 237 W.
