Lois Joan Fauley, age 95, passed away peacefully on June 5, 2026, at Johnstown Pointe Nursing Home in Johnstown Ohio. She was born May 28, 1931, in Wheeling WV. She was the daughter of the late Emery Cline and Minerva Irene (Sheets) Cline. Lois Joan was known to her family and friends as Joan (JoAnn). She was married on February 12, 1953, to the love of her life, Maurice A. Fauley Sr. They were married for more than 66 years until his passing on September 11, 2019. Joan and Maurice had an amazing love story. She often said they never had a fight. They were blessed with 5 children, 4 grandchildren and one great grandson. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother. As a woman of strong Christian faith, she read her bible daily. Joan loved to do crafts and paint. She left several beautiful paintings which are cherished by her children and family. With many talents, Joan played the dulcimer, quilted and knitted. She was an excellent cook. Many family nights were spent enjoying her homemade pizza with sauce and crust made from scratch. On birthdays and special occasions her chocolate cake with caramel icing was expected. Spending time with family was her favorite pastime. Joan is survived by two daughters, Donna (Bob) Kreuter of Pataskala and Bev (Doug) James of Wilmington; two sons, Al (Lori) Fauley of Pataskala, and Tim (Loree) Fauley of Wilmington; four grandchildren, Michael Kreuter, Shiloh James, Shayden (Elise) James, Nikita (Kyle) Miller; and one great grandson, Julian Miller. Also surviving are 3 siblings, Margaret Cesario, Betty DeVault and Bob Cline, as well as several nieces and nephews. Joan is preceded in death by her husband Maurice Fauley Sr., daughter, Dr. Kathryn Fauley, her parents and 3 siblings, Leora Blankenship, Tom Cline and Carol Paul. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday June 12, 2026, at Brown Funeral Home, Wilmington, Ohio. Burial will follow in Sugar Grove Cemetery, Wilmington. Visitation will be held from 12:00 pm until the time of the service at 1:00 pm on Friday June 12, at the funeral home. The family requests donations can be made to the hospice of your choice in lieu of flowers.
