M. Lyle Brooks

M. Lyle Brooks, age 59, of Wilmington, passed away Monday, December 30, 2024, at his home. He was born March 30, 1965, in Wilmington, Ohio, the son of R. Lee and Lucy (Floyd) Brooks.  Lyle was very active around Wilmington and Clinton County serving on several Boards, including the Wilmington Youth Football Program, and the Nike Center. He was a 1983 graduate of Wilmington High School where he was a standout Tennis player, a talent he handed down to his children.  After High School, he attended the Ohio State University and Wright State University, and served in the Army National Guard.  Professionally he was a graduate of Leadership Clinton. Lyle had been in sales most of his professional life.  Among his interests were Bicycling and Pickleball.  Lyle is survived by two children, Alec M. Brooks of Cincinnati, and Allison (Austin) Brenner of Ashland, Ohio; mother Lucy Brooks of Wilmington; sister Lyn (John) Manos of Cincinnati; nephew Christopher Manos; brother-in-law James Morris of Wilmington; and many friends.  Lyle is preceded in death by his father R. Lee Brooks; sister Leslee Morris; and grandparents Maynard “Blackie” and Mary Floyd.  Memorial services will be held 12:00 p.m. Friday, January 10, 2025, at the Faith Lutheran Church, 421 E.
