Martha Jean (Henson) Larson

Martha Jean (Henson) Larson, age 80 of North Pole, Alaska, died March 29, 2023 in Wilmington. She was born May 3, 1942 in Chattanooga, Tennessee, daughter of the late William H. and Nellie A. (Hays) Henson. For over 40 years Martha treasured the outdoors of Alaska and found great pleasure in dancing, running a children's daycare, Christmas and spending time at home. She dearly loved her family and the good Lord.... Martha was recently widowed, losing her husband Bill on February 27, 2023. They were married May 27, 1981 in Oak Grove, Kentucky and were visiting the Wilmington area to be with family as they battled illness together. Along with her husband and parents, Martha was preceded in death by a son, Randy Grommont and one sister. She is survived by her children, William Vincent Larson of Wilmington, Ohio, Samuel Joseph (Erica) Larson of West Union, Ohio, Teresa Geisinger, and Trent (Lupe) Grammont, both of Alaska; sister Sandy Meinzer of Kalamazoo, Michigan; sisters-in-law Carol (Larry) Krabacher of Wilmington, Ohio and Mary Frances "Franny" (Tom) Kennedy of San Diego, California; and numerous nieces and nephews.
