Marvin D. "Dale" Marine

Marvin D. “Dale” Marine, age 78, of Wilmington, passed away peacefully Sunday, March 8, 2026, at his home with his family by his side.  He was born May 29, 1947, in Columbus, Ohio, the son of the late Warren and Wilma (Blair) Marine.  Dale had retired from the Irwin Company in Wilmington after more than 30 years of service.  In his spare time he loved to fish, but more than anything he loved his family and spending time with them,  He is survived by his wife, Sheila (Cook) Marine; daughter Kara and her husband Steve Gasaway; son Douglas and his wife Sandy Marine; grandchildren, Skylar (Kelsey) Marine and Cassie (Lauren) Marine; great grandson Clayton Marine, and twin great granddaughters on-the-way; brother James (Rosemary) Marine; several nieces and nephews; and many friends.  Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 13, 2026, at Brown Funeral Home, Wilmington.  Burial will follow in Sugar Grove Cemetery in Wilmington.  Visitation will be held Friday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  The family asks that memorial donations be made to Heartland Hospice for the loving care and attention given to Marvin.  The address is Heartland Hospice, 220 E.
