Mary Hagedorn Obituary

Mary Alice (Robbins) Hagedorn, age 71, of Wilmington, passed away Monday, June 5, 2023 at Clinton Memorial Hospital. She was born June 12, 1951 the daughter of the late Arthur and Hettie Mae (Stoops) Robbins and had attended Clinton Massie High School where she was a "Falconette" and played on the girls basketball team. Through the years Mary loved spending time with her family and supporting her children's athletic endeavors. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed  gardening and canning her bounty. She was especially fond of her flower gardens and loved  small animals, namely Roscoe, her beloved dog. Mary's interests included NASCAR, old westerns and Reds baseball. She truly adored her family. She is survived by her children, Ronald Melvin, Jr. of Morrow, Michelle (Dave) Perey of Chino Valley Arizona and Nicole Galbreath of Reeseville; grandchildren, Hayes (Morgan)Tillapaugh, Jackson Tillapaugh, Christina (Casey) Strong, Brittany VanHoosier, Allison Galbreath and Lindsey Tillapaugh; great-grandchildren, Nicholas Strong, Lucas Strong, Raiden VanHoosier, Layla VanHoosier, Mackenzie Strong, Olivia Strong, Adrienne VanHoosier, Abby VanHoosier and Bexleigh Alexander; sisters, Linda Ackels and Cathy (John) Reynolds; brother-in-law, Brian Schirmer;  and several nieces and nephews. Mary is preceded in death by her husband Duane Hagedorn; her first husband, Ronald Melvin; parents, Arthur and Hettie Mae Robbins; stepfather, Stewart Brooks; brother, George Robbins; and sisters, Connie Robbins and Ethel Schirmer. Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Thursday, June 8, 2023 at Brown Funeral Home in Wilmington. Visitation will be at 12:00 noon until service begins at 1:00 pm. Immediately following services burial will take place in the New Antioch Cemetery. Brown Funeral Home, Wilmington, is assisting the family.
