Mary McKinney Obituary

Mary Katherine McKinney, age 94, passed away Saturday, August 15, 2020 at Salyer Adult Group Home in Hillsboro.  She was born October 19, 1925 in Stanton, Kentucky the daughter of the late Elisha and Carrie (Fulks) Hollon.  Katherine was a retired sales clerk and a dedicated housewife.  She loved to garden and work in her rose gardens.  Surviving are four children, Buford Piatt of New Richmond, Ohio, Liz (Jim) Slater of Hillsboro, Ruby Piatt of New Vienna, and Linda (Mike) Walls of Sabina; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.  In addition to her parents, Katherine is preceded in death by her 1st husband, Herman Piatt; 2nd husband Leon McKinney; and two grandsons, Brian Piatt and Danny Slater.  Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 18, 2020 at Brown Funeral Home, Wilmington.  Justin Tong, of the Wilmington Bible Baptist Church, will officiate.  Burial will follow in the Clinton Memory Gardens, Wilmington.  Visitation will be held Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  For more information, or to leave an on-line condolence, please visit www.arehart-brown.com, or see our Facebook page, Brown Funeral Home.
