Matthew Ryan Jones

Matthew Ryan Jones, age 52, of Wilmington, passed away Monday, December 2, 2024, at the Bethesda North Hospital in Cincinnati.  He was born July 17, 1972, in Wilmington, the son of the late Max and Brenda (Hammonds) Jones. Matt was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother.   His happiest times in life was being with his family, especially his grandchildren, who lovingly called him “papaw”.   Matt enjoyed studying history.  He is survived by his wife, Tina Reneé (Fields) Jones; children, Christian (Tabetha), Jacob (Daisy), Corey, and Dylan all of Wilmington, and Ryan and Nicole of Xenia; grandchildren, Allikai, Castiel, Natahlie, and Alistair; siblings, Angie, Steve (Barb), and Chris.  In addition to his parents, Matt is preceded in death by two brothers, Greg and Brad.  Memorial services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 7, 2024, at Brown Funeral Home, Wilmington.  Calling hours will be held Saturday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service at 2:00p.m. at the funeral home.  Interment will take place privately at the convenience of the family.  To leave an on-line condolence, or to leave a donation to help the family through this difficult time, visit www.arehart-brown.com, you can also leave condolences on our Facebook page, Brown Funeral Home.
