Melvin Eugene Richardson

Melvin Eugene Richardson, 69, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 26, 2023, at his home in Blanchester, OH. He was the eldest of 9 children. He was born August 28, 1953, in Cincinnati, OH, son of Donald Eugene and Barbara Richardson (both deceased).

Melvin is survived by two sons, Melvin Eugene (Karen) of Peebles and Joseph Edward of Lynchburg, two grandsons: Shelden and Caleb and three granddaughters: Grace, McKenzie Evans, and Emily Evans; five siblings: Peggy Greene (Steve), Anna Elliott (Vince), Marsha Fentress (Todd), Kathryn Richardson and Russell Richardson (Shanin).

Melvin is preceded in death by his brother Michael Joe, and sisters, Diana Lynn and Verna Kay.

Melvin loved his sons and was immensely proud of the men they have become. The second love of his life was the outdoors, which is why he took up carpentry with his father. When he wasn’t working, he would be jumping on his 4-wheeler to hunt, fish and camp. He loved to cook and was very good at it. Although he preferred his solitude, he loved when his family members visited him.

Goodbyes are not forever and are not the end; it simply means ‘I’ll miss you,’ until we meet again.” What a pleasure it will be for Melvin to reunite with his loved ones and worship God with them in His presence for all eternity! No more suffering, no more pain.
