Michael James “Mikey” Clevenger, age 56, of Wilmington, passed away Sunday, February 9, 2020, at his home. Mikey was born June 28, 1963 in Wilmington. He loved fishing, was a huge fan of WWE wrestling, the Dallas Cowboys, and the music of AC/DC. Mikey loved nature and being outdoors, enjoyed thoroughbred race horses, was a card shark, and liked playing games. But most of all, he loved his family. With Mikey, “what you saw, was what you got”. He is survived by children, Shirrell (Antonio) Morales, Darrell Moredock, and Aubrey; longtime companion Rosie Moredock; grandchildren, Troyer, Lando, Juan, Josselynn, Alexander, Addison, Damian, and Taran; siblings, Pam (Danny) Pogue, Randy “Mick” (Polly) Clevenger, and Michelle Taylor; several nieces and nephews; and many good friends who will miss him very much. Mikey is preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Anna Snyder; father, John Snyder; grandson, Angel Morales, grandmother, Weltha Harrison; and grandfather, Donald “Fuzzy” Wallace. All services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. As per his wishes, Mikey will be cremated and interment of cremated remains will also be held privately.
