Michael Eugene Francis

Michael Eugene Francis, age 44, of Wilmington, passed away Saturday, June 12, 2021 at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.  He was born May 10, 1977 in Clinton County, the son of the late Thomas and Mary (Furman) Francis.  He enjoyed fishing, and tinkering with anything mechanical.  Michael was a loving husband who adored his wife Jackie.  His pride and joy was his daughter Mary Ann.  He loved being outdoors, whether mowing or watching Mary Ann play.  He loved to take rides through the country and let the wind blow through his hair.  Michael was very close to his brother Donald, helped care for his nephew Joey, and had a special relationship with his uncle JR. Furman.  Michael will always be missed by his loving family.      He is survived by his wife Jackie R. (Shattuck) Francis of Wilmington; daughter Mary Ann Francis; brother Donald Francis of Wilmington; great friend who was like a brother, David Burton of Wilmington; and his dogs Sassy and Dixie.  In addition to his parents, Michael is preceded in death by his Grandfather Furman, who was very special to him.  A Celebration of Michael’s Life will be held 5:00 p.m. June 22, 2021 at Dove Church in Wilmington.  Dave Hinman will officiate.  Brown Funeral Home is assisting the family.  Memorial donations, if desired, may be made to the family on the funeral home website, www.arehart-brown.com, where you may also leave on-line condolences.  You may also leave condolences on our Facebook page, Brown Funeral home.
