Michael David Gayman, Sr.

Michael David “Mike” Gayman, Sr., age 73, of Blanchester, passed away peacefully Sunday, August 2, 2026, ay his home with his family by his side.  Mike was born January 30, 1953, in Dayton, Ohio, the son of the late Donald and Wanda Lee (West) Gayman, Sr.  He was a proud graduate of Trotwood Madison High School, and had worked in roofing for several companies, and also as a self-employed contractor.  Mike loved to fish, watch western movies, and drinking a good cup of coffee.  What brought him the most joy was being with his wife, children, and grandchildren.  Mike is survived by his wife of 52 years, Brenda Kay (Fryman) Gayman; children, Gretchen (Jim) Crain of Dayton; Michael Gayman, Jr. of Dayton; and Hollie (Brian Grizzle) Gayman of Blanchester; grandchildren, Diana, Victoria, Seth, Jaxson, Jordan, and very special granddaughter Natalie; five siblings; and father-in-law Paul Fryman.  In addition to his parents, Mike is preceded in death by four siblings, and his mother-in-law Mary Fryman.  Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday, August 10, 2026, at Brown Funeral Home, Wilmington.  Burial will follow in the Bearcreek-Hillgrove Cemetery in Trotwood, Ohio.  Visitation will be held from 12:00 noon until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home Monday.  To leave an on-line condolence, or to leave a donation in honor of Mike, please visit www.arehart-brown.com, you can also leave condolences on our Facebook page, Brown Funeral Home.
