Misty Lyn (Keech) Blackburn

Misty Lyn (Keech) Blackburn, age 46, of Wilmington, died Sunday, December 12, 2021 at Clinton Memorial Hospital in Wilmington. She was born December 15, 1974 the daughter of Richard Milo and Linda Lou (Adkins) Keech. Misty was a lovingly stubborn and outspoken gal that loved her family very much. She enjoyed fishing, coloring and spending time with her dog Monica Lyn. She was very encouraging in helping push her children to achieve their goals and dreams while also being a helpful and loyal friend to many in need. Misty is survived by her longtime companion and fiancé, Bryan D. Simmons of Wilmington; children, Selena Randi Blackburn of Wilmington, Bradley Richard Blackburn (Kristina Snyder) of Franklin Furnace, step-daughter Raychal Fox of Hillsboro and special niece, Colleen Gordon of Cuba; father, Dick (Darlene) Keech of Sabina; siblings Angela (Jimmy) Whitley of Peebles, Richard (Loretta) Keech of Leesburg, Amy Gordon (Rodney Morford) of Wilmington, Jesse Travis of Sabina, Mandy Travis of Nashville TN, Heather (Brian) Roberson of Wilmington, and Kassie (Mikey) Gall of Hillsboro; father and mother-in-law, Clem and Debbie Simmons of Wilmington and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her mother, Linda Lou (Adkins) Keech and her dear grandparents, aunts and uncles. Funeral services will be held 11:30 a.m. Thursday, December 16th, 2021 at Brown Funeral Home, Wilmington. Burial will follow in the Martinsville I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home. A time of food and fellowship will be held at the Martinsville Lions Club immediately following the cemetery service.
