Nickola Ann "Nikki" (Davis) Brown

Nickola Ann “Nikki” Brown (Davis), age 73, of Wilmington, passed away on February 3, 2026. She was born April 15, 1952, in Clinton County.

Nikki was a devoted member of Bible Baptist Church in Wilmington. She spent many years working as a bookkeeper for Buckley Bros. Inc. and later served as a unit clerk at Clinton Memorial Hospital. An avid animal lover, Nikki especially cherished her beloved dog, Velvet. One of her favorite traditions was attending the hog show each year at the Clinton County Fair. Holidays and family gatherings held a special place in her heart and were times she treasured deeply.

She is survived by her husband of nearly 50 years, Gary Lee Brown; her son, Justin S. (Danielle) Brown of Wilmington; her honorary son and daughter, Howard and Sonia Bowen of Wilmington; her brother, Steve (Tonna Rinehart) Davis of Wilmington; her grandchildren, Jordan Brown, Heather (Josh) Roberts, and Triston (Liz) Bowen; and her great-grandchildren, Mason, Myleigh, Leigha, Luca, Kallan, Oaklyn, and Andrew. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Carol Fife, Rose Ertel, Ginger (Cliff) Kothera, and several loved nieces and nephews.

Nikki was preceded in death by her mother, Myrtle Ann Davis; her daughter, Angela Dawn Brown; her uncle, Bud; her brother-in-law, Jim Fife; and her lifelong best friend, Sheila Grisham. Her husband, Larry Grisham, continued to hold a special place in Nikki’s life and remained a dear friend.
