Norma Lee (Hodson) Achor, 91, formerly of Wilmington, passed away peacefully on Friday December 2, 2022 at Continental Manor in Blanchester. Norma was born August 11, 1931, daughter of the late Russell and Ann Hodson. She graduated from Wilmington College and taught in the Wilmington school district for 30 years as a second-grade teacher at Martinsville Elementary where she was affectionately known by her students as Mrs A. She also volunteered at Clinton Memorial Hospital for several years. She enjoyed interacting with her former students and treasured her time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Norma is survived by her loving son Kevin (Kathy) Barrett of Martinsville; her grandchildren Lindsey Barrett and Rachael (Brodie) Barrett Back; and her great-grandchildren Emmett, Flynn and Esme Back. Along with her parents, Norma is preceded in death by her husband John A. Achor. A special thank you goes out to Dr. Catherine LaRuffa for her care and kindness.
