Patricia Ann (Willis) Morton

Patricia Ann Morton, age 77, of Wilmington, passed away peacefully Thursday, June 11, 2020 at her home. 

Patricia was a beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend.  She was the closest thing to Godly love on this earth that we have ever known.  Her unconditional love for everyone, her forgiveness to others, her patience and kindness always exuded from her being. 

She always took care of everyone and was there whenever you needed.  She loved her family to the fullest and her joy came from being around them and doing whatever it took to show them that her love was forever!

She graduated from Wilmington High School and then left to live in California for many years and then returned to Wilmington to be closer to her mom prior to her death.  She worked as a telephone operator and spent 30 years working at the nursing home in Wilmington prior to her retirement.

Not a day will go by that she is not celebrated, remembered, and missed!  She will forever live on in our conversations, our thoughts, and our hearts.  We love you MOM!

She has gone to Glory and leaves behind husband Dennis Morton, son Oliver Cody Jr. (Janine), son Aaron Cody, daughter Deidre Cooper (Ronald) and daughter Karen Robertson (Michael).  Also, she leaves behind 18 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and her sisters Martha Willis and Marie Jackson. 

Preceded in death was her dad Lyman Willis and mom Goldie May Willis, brothers Daniel Willis, Lyman Willis Jr., Floyd Willis, Benjamin Franklin Willis, Franklin Benjamin Willis, sisters Catherine Willis, Lucille Ryder and Cordelia Rivera, son Sharif Antoine Morton, grandsons Robert Cody, Kristopher Dean Cooper, Everett Cody Cooper, and Cody Robertson.

Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 20, 2020 at Brown Funeral Home in Wilmington, OH.  Viewing will be from 10am-11am and the Celebration of her life will immediately follow.  Committal services will take place privately at the convenience of the family.  For more information or to sign our on-line register, please visit www.arehart-brown.com or see our Facebook page, Brown Funeral Home.
