Raymond E. Baker

Raymond E. Baker, age 76, of Wilmington, passed away Sunday, October 29th, 2023 at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton.   He was born January 28th, 1947, the son of Edward and Ardella Marie Baker He loved his family and the Lord. He is an inspiration to all who knew him and often exhibited in his actions throughout the community. Raymond was a Farmers Market Worker and volunteer at the local homeless shelter and Our Fathers Kitchen. His funny nature and embellished stories brought laughter to all who were lucky enough to know him. Left to cherish the memory of Raymond is his son Tracy Schoenholtz of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Austin Jewell of Wilmington, Joshua Jewell of Florida, Keshia Duncan of Wilmington, and Skylar and Logan Woodgeard of Morrow; great grandchildren Serraphina, Jacob, Kaydence, and Ryan of Wilmington; step-daughter Penny Jewel of Morrow; Keshia nieces, Lisa Kincaid, Alberta Baker, and Lilly Lafferty Baker; and many others. Raymond is preceded in death by his mother and father.  Celebration of Life Services will be held 6:00 p.m. Thursday, November 9, 2023, at Wilmington Church of God.  Pastor Rich Boll and Pastor Ginger Pendell will officiate.  Brown Funeral Home is assisting the family.  The family requests that you bring a written or typed story of your favorite memory of Raymond so they may add it to a memory journal.
