Robert William Walthers, Jr., age 59, of Wilmington, passed away Tuesday, September 6, 2022, at his home with family by his side. He was born September 17, 1962, in Ft. Thomas, Kentucky, the son of the late Robert William and Rhonda (Miles) Walthers, Sr. Mr. Walthers was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Wilmington. He had a great sense of humor and was very witty. He enjoyed Sci-Fi books and movies, and working on computers. He was also an animal lover, and loved his furry friends at home. Mr. Walthers is survived by his wife, Cynthia Ann “Cindy” (Smith) Walthers to whom he married December 28, 2004 in Lebanon, Ohio; son Brandon Joshua Walthers of Falmouth, Kentucky; step-son Martin Travis Owens of Centerville, Ohio; three grandchildren; half-sister Lisa Hart of Alexandria, Kentucky; brother-in-law Christopher (Deborah) Selhorst of Wilmington, Ohio; sister-in-law Robin Welch; mother-in-law Linda Smith of Wilmington; cousin Wayne Miller of Falmouth, Kentucky; and several friends. In addition to his parents, Mr. Walthers is preceded in death by maternal grandparents Carlos and Evelyn Miles; and father-in-law Robert Smith.
