Robert Donavon "Bob" Wilkin

Robert Donavon “Bob” Wilkin, age 65, of Wilmington, passed away Sunday, September 12, 2021 at the Clinton Memorial Hospital in Wilmington. He was born June 19, 1956 in Wilmington, the son of the late Howard Donavon and Marilyn (Cline) Wilkin. Bob was a member of the Wilmington Church of God. He enjoyed being outdoors, he loved camping, boating, fishing, and trap-shooting. Bob was a hard worker, and would help anyone in need. He was very Patriotic and loved his country. Bob was an owner/operator of an over-the-road trucking company. He, along with his wife Debbie, travelled the United States in their semi, and always made time to see the beautiful sites. Bob was a great husband, father, and grandfather; he was loved by all, and no one will ever be able to fill his shoes. He is survived by his wife Debra Kay (McDavid) Wilkin, to whom he married October 23, 2010 in Wilmington, they have been together a total of 24 years; children, Brandie Wilkin of Waynesville, Amy (Mark Ellis) Richcreek of Indianapolis, Brian (Megan) Wilkin of Clarksville, Amy (Jeff) Carpenter of Englewood, and Corey Wilkin of San Antonio; grandchildren, Tobie (Courtney) Ramsey, Derrick (Morgan) Ramsey, Blake Ramsey, Paige Ramsey, Makayla Richcreek, Shelby (Jake) Richcreek, Kendall Richcreek, Ava Ellis, Dustyn (Victoria) Banks, Daisy Carpenter, Payten Wilkin, and West Wilkin; great grandchildren, Kezmyn Richcreek, Kahlil Banks, and Noah Ramsey; siblings, Michael (Lois) Wilkin of Batavia, Danny (Gayle) Wilkin of Greenville, S.C., and Roseanne (Steve) McKay of Wilmington; several nieces and nephews; many friends; and many great trucking friends. Funeral services will be held 7:00 p.m. Thursday, September 16, 2021 at the Wilmington Church of God, 100 R. Gordon Drive, Wilmington, Ohio 45177. Pastor Rich Boll will officiate. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service at 7:00 p.m. at the church. Burial will take place privately at the convenience of the family.
