Roger Caldwell "Butch" Spisak, age 83, of Wilmington, passed away Tuesday, April 7, 2026. He was born April 3, 1943, in Long Beach, California, the son of the late Matthias S. and Peggy J. (Caldwell) Spisak. Butch grew up in Custer, South Dakota, and was a 1960 graduate of Custer High School before serving his country in the United States Navy. He had retired as a truck driver, which was his profession his entire working life. In his free time, Butch enjoyed watching NASCAR and football as well as being an avid reader. Above all, he loved his family very much. Butch is survived by his children, Johnroger C. "JR" (Caitlin) Spisak, Johnmichael (Mary) Spisak, Johndavid (Krista) Allen and Johnrobert F. Spisak; a brother, Ronald (Cathie) Spisak; nephew, Thomas (Andrea) Spisak; and niece, Sarah Houck; also surviving are his loved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family and friends. In addition to his parents, Butch is preceded in death by two nephews, Matthew Steven Spisak and Daniel Patrick Spisak; grandson, Michael Matthias Carr Spisak; and daughter-in-law, Connie R. Spisak.
