Ronald Dean Brown, age 81, of Xenia passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born September 12, 1941, the son of Herman and Leah Belle (Houseman) Brown of Bowersville, Ohio. Ronnie is survived by his wife Jeannie (DeGroat) Brown, children Tammy (Tom) Bolka, Rodney (Rose) Brown, Chuck (Debbie) Mowery, Vickie Kinder, and Daniel Mowery, sister Carolyn Hughes, and mother-in-law Wanda DeGroat (Mom 2). Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Kenny Brown, and father-in-law Bill DeGroat.
Ronnie graduated from Jefferson High School of Bowersville, Ohio in 1959 and was competitive in basketball, softball, bowling and golf from his youth through adult years; he was one of the top scorers in Greene County in basketball and played semi-professional softball. He worked at NCR, Frigidaire and retired from General Motors, Moraine Truck and Bus. Ronnie had a great sense of humor and enjoyed spending time with family, friends and horses (Midge and Stormy), especially at the farm and pond.
Private services and burial were held at Milledgeville-Plymouth Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, consider making a donation in memory of Ronald Dean Brown to Hospice of Dayton.
