Ronald Wayne “Ron” Pinkerton, Jr., age 36, of Leesburg, passed away Sunday, April 30, 2023 at his home. He was born April 14, 1987, at Ft. Campbell, Kentucky. Ron was a 2005 graduate of Clinton Massie High School. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army, serving two tours in Iraq. He was a member of the Sligo Baptist Church and was a talented artist who loved to draw. In his free time, Ron loved the outdoors, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and mushroom hunting. Most of all, he loved his family. He is survived by a large family, including his parents Ron and Melissa Pinkerton of Clarksville; Jill Alfrey and Greg Alfrey of Chillicothe; his children; sister Amanda (Bobby) Taylor of Goshen; brother Bryant Pinkerton of Clarksville; sister Virginia Evans; brothers, Steven Thomas and Bradford Hill; niece Ivy Taylor; mother of children, Violet Pinkerton; maternal grandmother Karen Couch of Wilmington; several aunts, uncles, cousins; nieces and nephews; and many friends. Ron is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Curtis Couch; and paternal grandparents Joe and Marjorie Pinkerton, Sr. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 8, 2023, at Brown Funeral Home, Wilmington. Joseph Pinkerton, Jr. will officiate. Military Honors will be accorded by the American Legion Post #49 Honor Guard. Interment in Cowan Creek Cemetery will take place privately at the convenience of the family.
