Ronnie Franklin Dunn

Ronnie Franklin Dunn, age 73, of Blanchester, passed away with his family by his side, Saturday, July 13, 2024 at Bethesda North Hospital, in Montgomery. He was born May 10, 1951 in Charleston, West Virginia, and had proudly served his Country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War era. Ronnie was an extremely hard working and dedicated man that had spent 39 years in the trucking industry. He was currently serving, and especially proud of his time spent as Post Commander of the Wilmington Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) #6710. Above all he loved his large family very much. Ronnie leaves behind his wife Karen Lynn Dunn (Lewis) of Blanchester, to whom he married February 18, 1989; children, Michelle Sizemore of Morrow, Shannon (Clarence Woods) Lewis of Morrow, Ronnie (Rebecca) Dunn II of Middletown, and Lora Dunn of Blanchester; grandchildren, Caila Woods, Charley Woods, Tony Lewis, Angela Lewis, Brittany Watkins, Kristen Lowe, Andrea Delraeh, Ronnie Dunn III, Nevaeh Dunn, Jacey Woodrum, Jesse Woodrum, Johnny Hofmann, Mason Sizemore and Lucas Sizemore; 20 great-grandchildren; sister, Karen Riggs; brothers, Rob Dunn, Tom Dunn and Paul Dunn; and cousin, Jimmy Dunn. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Jane Dunn; brothers, Alden and Forrester Dunn; and son, Jacob Sizemore. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. on Friday July 19, 2024, at Brown Funeral Home, Wilmington. Military Honors will be accorded by the American Legion Post #49 Honor Guard beginning services at 1:00 p.m.  Rick Sallee will officiate. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Immediately following services at the funeral home, all are invited to the V.F.W. Post 6710, 1130 N. Lincoln Street, for a Celebration honoring Ronnie.  Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
