Russell L. Huston

Russell L. Huston, age 57, of Martinsville, passed away Saturday, February 21, 2026, at Wilmington Nursing and Rehabilitation.  Russell was born August 24, 1968, in Wilmington, the son of the late James Charles and Shirley (Shelton) Huston.  He was an avid Cincinnati Bengals fan and followed Nascar being a big Jeff Grodan fan.  Russell loved his family and friends and was always ready for a party. He is survived by siblings, Donna (Mark) Pariseau, Jeannie (Estel) Stone, and Mike (Fern) Huston; nieces, Jackie (Charles) Workman, Shannon Stone, and Tonya Slaughter; great nieces and nephews, Alexa Mattox, Joseph Eury, Brett Eury, and Andrew Harper; great great nephews Gabriel and Gary Mattox; and many friends.  In addition to his parents, Russell is preceded in death by sister Debbie St. John; brother Joseph Kerns; nephew Russell Stone; uncles Harry Huston, Howard Huston, Raymond Shelton, Richard Shelton, David Shelton, and Stanley Shelton; aunts Ruby Johnson and Mabel Potter.; and his little beloved friend "Sparky".  Visitation will be held Friday, February 27, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, Wilmington.
