Scott Gregory Dehart

Scott Gregory Dehart, age 48, of Waynesville, died Wednesday, February 26, 2020 at his residence.  He was born December 8, 1971 in Buford, South Carolina.  Scott was an avid Miami Dolphins fan, he loved to cook, was a hard worker, enjoyed playing cornhole, and spending time with his family.  Scott is survived by his wife of 20 years, Melissa (Large) Dehart; children, Alicia Dehart of Pensacola, Florida and Nick Dehart of Waynesville; mother Margie Butler of Huber Heights; sisters Tina Valandingham of Huber Heights and Kimberly Butler of North Carolina; brother Tex (Mandi) Butler of Enon; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.  He is preceded in death by his father Frank Butler.  Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 3, 2020 at Brown Funeral Home, Wilmington.  Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  Burial will follow in Martinsville I.O.O.F.
