Scott Allen Valentine

Scott Allen Valentine, age 51, of Blanchester, passed away Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at Clinton Memorial Hospital in Wilmington. Scott was born November 14, 1972 in Wilmington, the son of James H. and Vicky J. (Harrison) Valentine. He was a 1991 graduate of Wilmington High School where "Val" had played baseball for the Hurricane. Scott was a sports fan that enjoyed following the New York Yankees. Above all, he enjoyed time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Stacy Valentine, to whom he married June 13, 1998; his children, Hunter (Ashley) Valentine and Sierra Leonard, both of Wilmington; grandchildren, Bentley, Carson and Jaylen; parents, Jim and Vicky Valentine; brothers, Shawn Valentine of Englewood and David Roustio; In-laws, Rick and Vicki Horn; sister-in-law Stephanie Slivinski; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Scott is preceded in death by his grandparents and several aunts and uncles. Funeral services will be held 4:00 p.m. Thursday, January 11, 2024 at Brown Funeral Home, Wilmington. Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. until the time of service at 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Brown Funeral Home, Wilmington, is assisting the family.
