Shana Denise (McComas) McCarty

Shana Denise McCarty, age 53, of Lynchburg, passed away Friday, August 29, 2025, at her home with family by her side.  She was born April 28, 1972, in Wilmington, Ohio the daughter of Charles and Glenda (Benge) McComas.  Shana was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother. Loved spending time with her grandbabies, doodling, playing pool, watching her chipmunks and hummingbirds, and tending to all of her flowers.  Shana is survived by her husband of 31 years, Roger; parents, Mac (Brenda) McComas, and Glenda McComas; sisters, Traci (Jim) Smith and Lauryn McComas; Children, Brandon McComas, Jesse (Angel) Valentine, Shylynne McCarty, Roger McCarty 3rd, Matthew (Sara) McCarty, and Tierney (Stephen) Bailey; grandbabies, Kaiden McCarty, Norah McCarty, Greylan McCarty, Cecilia Bailey, and Max Bailey; several extended family members; and many friends.  Shana is preceded in death by grandparents Charles and Marjorie McComas. Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at the Mt. Olive Cemetery, beside the Mt.
