Sharif Antoine Morton

Sharif Antoine Morton, age 34, of Wilmington, passed away Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at his home.  He was born January 1, 1985 in Wilmington the son of Dennis and Patsy Willis Morton, who survive.  The most important thing in Sharif’s life was his family, who he loved very much.  Sharif enjoyed cooking and had aspirations of becoming a chef.  He had attended Wilmington High School, enjoyed traveling, and was a fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes, Cincinnati Bengals, and WWE Wrestling.  In addition to his parents, Sharif is survived by his fiancée, Lynzie Grooms; children, Antoine Allen Glass, Julius ORyan Moore, Navaydious Saint Sharif Morton, and Raeonna Faith Thomas; sisters, Deidre (Ronald) Cooper of Sevierville, Tennessee, Karen (Mike) Robertson of Kernersville, North Carolina, Sheila (Byron) McGee of Wilmington, Mia (Gregory) Hubbard of Miamisburg, Ohio, and Tracy Arrington of Hillsboro; brothers, Oliver (Janine) Cody III of Bloomfield, New Jersey, Aaron Cody of Wilmington, Tony (Janice) Morton of Wilmington, and Dannon (Brandy) Morton of Hillsboro; best friend Brian Rowe; aunts, Martha Willis and Evelyn Burns, both of Wilmington, and Marie Jackson of Beaufort, South Carolina; uncle Richard Greene of Wilmington; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.  He is preceded in death by a sister, Jacque Hamilton, a nephew, Robert Cody; and his maternal and paternal grandparents.  Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday, May 19, 2019 at Cornerstone Baptist Church, 225 Randolph Street, Wilmington, Ohio 45177.  Pastor Byron McGee will officiate.  Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to service from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the church.  Interment will take place privately at the convenience of the family.  The Brown Funeral Home, Wilmington, is serving the family.  For more information, or to sign our on-line register, please visit www.arehart-brown.com, or see our Facebook page, Brown Funeral Home.
