Sharon Sue Jones, age 73 of Clarksville, passed away peacefully Friday, July 3, 2020 at the home of her daughter Christy in Dayton, surrounded by her loving family. She was born August 15, 1946 in Morrow, Ohio the daughter of the late Marvin E. and Jennie M. (Collins) Swearingen. Sharon was a member of the Wilmington Church of God, and had retired in 2008 after 20 years working at Airborne Express. She enjoyed riding her motorcycle and was a member of the Gold Wing Road Riders Association of Sabina. Sharon is survived by her daughter, Christy Flint of Dayton; grandchildren, Carissa Weisenberger, Devin (Celine) Young, Jordan Young, and Briana Young; great grandchildren, Jersey Tuggle, Zhayden Tuggle, Kayson Young, and one on-the-way; siblings, Jake (Erma) Swearingen of Clarksville, Bill Swearingen of Hillsboro, Brenda Harcourt of Hillsboro, Ruth (Larry) Davis of Wilmington, Cindy (Tim) McClanahan of Blanchester, and Danny (Teresa) Swearingen of Wilmington; many nieces, nephews, and friends; her best friend of 62 years, Jauna Smith of Texas; members of the family of her former husband Clark Flint, step-children, Peggy (Steve) Latham of Georgia, Cathy (James) Bennington of Georgia, Danny (Ruthann) Flint of Hillsboro, and Mike Flint of Sabina. In addition to her parents, Sharon is preceded in death by a daughter, Pamela Sue Weisenberger on July 17, 2008; husband David Jones in 2004; former husband Clark Flint; sister JoAnn Bobbitt; brother David Swearingen; and step-grandchild Jonathan Taunton. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 9, 2020 at the Wilmington Church of God, 100 R. Gordon Drive, Wilmington, Ohio 45177. Pastor Richard Boll will officiate. Burial will follow in the Clarksville Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 12:00 noon until the time of service at 2:00 p.m. at the church. Brown Funeral Home, Wilmington, is assisting the family.
