Sheila Denise (Bowermaster) Cunningham

Sheila Denise Cunningham (Bowermaster), age 63, of Wilmington, passed away peacefully July 20, 2026 at TriHealth Clinton Regional Hospital in Wilmington. Born in Oahu, Hawaii on July 5, 1963, she was the daughter of the late Walter Eugene and Carolyn Ruth (Gayer) Bowermaster. She was raised by Virginia and James "Buddy" Childers, who also precede her in death. Sheila was a dedicated homemaker who found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She had a passion for shopping and was a collector of rubber ducks. Gifted with her hands, she loved fishing, sewing, crocheting, and coloring. Her greatest love was her family. She is survived by her children, Nikki (Shane) Groves of Wilmington and Kenny Garrison Jr. of Xenia; her beloved grandchildren, Nevaeh, Dylan, and Madyson; several siblings; and numerous other relatives and friends whom she loved dearly. She also leaves behind her faithful pet companion, her cat, RJ. Services will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family. Brown Funeral Home, Wilmington, is assisting the family.
