Sheila Lynn (Ryan) Spicer, age 76, of Wilmington, passed away peacefully on April 12, 2023 at Hospice of Dayton. Sheila was born August 24, 1946 in Middlesboro, Bell County, Kentucky, daughter of the late William T. and Ruby G. (Hash) Ryan. She was a graduate of Wilmington High School and had worked for many years at Clinton Memorial Hospital, coordinating Meals on Wheels. Sheila was a proud wife, mother and grandmother that adored her family. They meant everything to her. She truly loved time spent in the mountains of Tennessee. Sheila is survived by her husband, Joseph Spicer, to whom she married on May 27, 1966; her children, Melissa A. Martin of Florence, Kentucky, Mindy K. (Bret) Hamm of Church Hill, Tennessee and J. Scott Spicer of Wilmington; also left to cherish her memory are her grandchildren, Brandie N. (Josh) Day, Jacob Martin, Brittany (Steven) Parrish, Cameron Holbert and Harlie Jo Hamm. Sheila was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Thomas D. Ryan. A graveside Memorial Service, officiated by Troy Villars, will begin at 11:30 a.m., Monday April 17, 2023 at Sugar Grove Cemetery in Wilmington. Immediately following the service, the Spicer family will greet those that can attend a gathering at the Fraternal Order of Eagles, 141 E. Sugartree Street in Wilmington.
