Shirley Lee Bean Morgan passed away surrounded by love on June 16, 2026. Her only child Shanda Perry was by her side, holding her hand as she always had throughout life. Her faithful dog Jac was also by her side, occasionally giving her kisses and watching over her until her final breath. Shirley was born October 22, 1952 to Marie Katherine (née Dumford) and William Matthew Bean of Wilmington, Ohio. She attended Wilmington High School and graduated in 1971. Shirley worked as a direct care worker at Smith House for many years, and in nursing and rehab prior to that. She loved helping people and cared deeply for her friends and family. Her love of animals and music was unmatched. Shirley’s faith carried her through these last few years and she was comforted deeply by final visits and the prayers of friends and family. Her deepest joy and brightest light in life were her grandsons Alden and Linden. Shirley’s daughter Shanda was a constant pillar of support and comfort, just as Shirley was to Shanda all the days of her life. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents Marie and William, sisters Phyllis Kearns Rhoads and Gladys Kearns Jordan, an infant brother Johnny Bean, her beloved husband Richard Morgan, and many dear friends over the years. She is survived by her daughter Shanda Perry (Micheal Ison), grandsons Alden and Linden Ison, sisters in law Bonnie Morgan, Martha Morgan, and nephew Doug Morgan. Shirley loved unconditionally and with her whole heart. She will be dearly missed by her surviving family and friends. A memorial for family and friends will be planned in the near future.
